Written by the SMLs this "Newbie Guide" walks you through signing up for NaNoWriMo, how to Affiliate and Home yourself, editing your profile on both NaNoWriMo.org and PBD, information on events, tips and tricks for finishing, and more. Highly reccomended for anyone just starting out with NaNo.
NaNo Report Card -
This Excel document (which does work in Open Office) can be used to track your writing progress during November. Simply enter in your word total for the day and it graphs and charts for you, as well as tracks your morale progress and how many words needed to finish.
Many of these report cards have been created, most stemming from the original by Eric Benson. This is a edited-by-SML-for-2008 version coming from Zokutou.
